We're partnering with India’s premiere industry association, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), to extend this special invitation to our members to a Master Class on Transforming Manufacturing.
The CII will host a seminar conducted by Professor Shoji Shiba, world renowned expert in Total Quality Management (TQM) and Breakthrough Management, on January 23, 2014. The seminar will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at 345, Park Avenue, New York City.
Professor Shiba is a former Adjunct Professor at Sloan Institute of Management at MIT and is the Chief Adviser to a national program in India called the 'Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing' which has been run by CII since 2007. Under his guidance, the program has helped develop 930+ visionary leaders from 250+ manufacturing sector companies.
The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce supports this seminar and invites you to participate.
A culmination of the last ten years' efforts by CII and Prof Shoji Shiba has resulted in illustrative 7 success stories in Industry and Academia which are discussed in his most recent book, published by Penguin, "7 Dreams to Reality: Transforming Indian Manufacturing" (http://businesstoday.intoday.in/story/indias-unique-path-lies-in-it-and-manufacturing-shoji-shiba/1/200896.html) For these contributions, he was conferred the Padma Shri (one of India’s highest civilian honors) by the Government of India in 2012.
The aim of the seminar is to discuss best practices in manufacturing and the ways in which companies can leverage some of these learnings in their own businesses. This will be a very focused, workshop style gathering with about 20 participants from the manufacturing sector.
There is no charge to attend the seminar, although CII does request that participants stay for the entire duration of the seminar. See the seminar agenda for details.
Those interested in attending are invited to confirm their participation as soon as possible by email to sumani.dash@cii-usa.org
