Living United Heroes Luncheon

Every community needs its hometown heroes who both inspire and challenge us to be better neighbors.  This year, the United Way of Hudson County honors four women of distinction with the Congresswoman Mary T. Norton Memorial Award, our most prestigious recognition. 
 
Congresswoman Norton of Jersey City was the first woman from New Jersey elected in her own right.  She came to prominence for her efforts to support maternal health and to found the Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital.  This year’s honorees follow in her footsteps: 

• Regina Andriolo, executive director of the LibertyHealth Foundation;
• Stacey Flanagan, City of Jersey City Health and Human Services Director;
• Niurka “Nikki” Mederos, director of external relations for Palisades Medical Center;
• Paula Nevoso, president of the CarePoint Health Foundation.
