CHAMBER EVENT: GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITEE MEETING

Members are invited to join us for our next Government Affairs Committee Meeting.  As the state legislature has begun a new two-year session, the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce continues to advance its advocacy agenda for 2016. We are currently identifying bills that are pending in the State Legislature and local issues that we believe will have an impact on the business community. There are many issues being discussed at the State level, including minimum wage increases, the state pension reform proposals, and the Transportation Trust Fund. We plan to take a position for or against many of these bills on behalf of our members and we need your input.

We will review current issues, as well as review our advocacy tactics, plan events for the remainder of 2016.  The Committee is lead by Co-Chairs of our Government Affairs Committee:

  • Robert Luckritz, Director of EMS & Government Relations, Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health
  • Leila Sadeghi, Executive Director, Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership, Saint Peter's University
Our Government Affairs meeting is open to Members only. Please feel free to email the Chamber at info@hudsonchamber.org with your concerns, comments and questions regarding any legislation that concerns your business.
