Members are invited to join us for our next Government Affairs Committee Meeting. As the state legislature has begun a new two-year session, the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce is finalizing its advocacy agenda for 2016. We are currently identifying bills that are pending in the State Legislature that we believe will have an impact on the business community. There are many issues being discussed at the State level, including minimum wage increases, the state pension reform proposals, and the Transportation Trust Fund. We plan to take a position for or against many of these bills on behalf of our members and we need your input.
We will review results of our recent member survey, as well as review and prioritize the issues, our advocacy tactics, plan events for the remainder of 2016, and introduce the new Co-Chairs of our Government Affairs Committee:
