January 15, 2014, will mark the 5-year anniversary of the Miracle on the Hudson, when a flock of Cananda Geese and US Airways Flight 1549 collided just after the plane's take-off from LaGuardia Airport. The crew, realizing that with the loss of engine power they could not reliably reach any nearby airfield, had little choice but to ditch the plane into the Hudson River. All 155 passengers and crew were safely evacuated onto ferries and other watercraft. The last passenger off the flight that day was Mr. Dave Sanderson. He was largely responsible for helping his fellow passengers to safety. An inspiring survivor Dave has shared his experience and lessons learned with business groups all over the country. His message focuses on positive thinking, teamwork and leadership. He joins us at Waterside Restaurant, adjacent to Palisades Medical Center, where some of the passengers received medical attention that day 5 years ago.
